JD

JD has decided to go to college this spring and he has got accepted to USU and he is going to take online classes.  We are very proud of him and excited to start this new journey.  So upon getting accepted we received a letter in the mail and this post-it was attached to it:

"PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOUR DOCUMENTS WILL BE SUBMITTED USING YOUR FULL LEGAL NAME THAT YOU WILL NEED TO PROVIDE YOUR FULL NAME IN ORDER FOR YOUR DOCUMENTS & APPLICATION TO MATCH WITH EACH OTHER.  Thank You"

I thought that this was so funny.  JD just rolled his eyes and said "it happens all the time"  which is true.  Almost always when he meets someone new they ask him what JD stands for.
(For those of you questioning his full legal name it is JD Stanworth)

Feeling Crafty

Lately I have be feeling extra crafty.  For our ward's super Saturday we did this snowman
So then that gave me the motivation to do art boards for my kids art work Madelyn and Hiett love to draw and color pictures and they always want to hang them up so I created these for them:

JD cut the MDF boards for me and I painted them. Then I distressed the edges then Tiff helped me with the vinyl.  Then I mod podged the clothes pins with scrapbook paper and hot glued them on.  They were super easy and I think they turned out pretty cute.

We had our ward Trunk or Treat Yesterday and got these fun glasses given to us.  We had so much fun trying them on and being silly.

Jack o' Lanterns

Every year for Halloween with let the kids pick out their pumpkins and we either paint them or carve them.  This year we decided to carve them.  Each of the kids picked out the face they wanted for their Jack o' Lantern.  Mom helped them take all the guts out and Dad helped them carve the faces. We had so much fun.

We have TROUBLE!!

It has been too long since I updated but really our life has been pretty boring.

Anyways, this morning has been one of those mornings and Caleb has been in a climbing mood.  He's been on the table too many times to count, on the back of the couch, up in the closet and then I walk into Hiett and Caleb room and this what I find.
Two seconds later he is up on top dancing and clapping!

He is only 16 months, so I am scared to death for what terrible twos bring with this kid.  Hopefully not too many trips to the ER. :)

The crazy thing about all of this climbing is he is still in his crib with the bumpers still on. He has no desire what so ever to climb out or even mess with the bumpers.  Go figure.

Madelyn's First Dance Performance

Last Tuesday night, Madelyn had her first performance.  She danced at half time at the girls basketball game.  She was so excited and could not wait to start dancing.

She did so well she had her eyes constantly on her teacher and she was perfect.  My mom has the video of her dancing so I will post that whenever I can remember to get the DVD.
She was so exited when she got done that she jumped up and down. Now she wants to practice her dance every day and she keeps asking me if it is Monday yet. (she has dance on mondays)  She loves to dance and I guess big crowds don't bother her so I guess she will keep on dancing.

Hiett's big day

Today I (JD) had the chance to take Hiett to the Monster Truck show at the E-Center.  It was fun to have a day with just Hiett.  I was not sure how he was going to react to the show because he does not like loud noises and he has a hard time sitting still for an extended period of time (I wonder where he gets that from?), but we had some ear protection and we took a chance with the other problem.  When we got there they had a Monster Truck set up with seats in the back to give rides to those willing to pay a "small fee", as we watched it go around the arena time after time Hiett kept saying " OK the shows over lets go".  Finally when the got things started he was on the edge of his seat watching almost all of it.  He was not impressed with the Monster Truck racing for obvious reasons (it was in an indoor arena).

He especially liked the motorcycle races but we thought that he would since he loves motorcycles.  On the ride home he just talked about the trucks and motorcycles and how cool it was.  I could not even get him to change the subject for too long when we passed the airport and saw the planes (he loves airplanes also) once we passed he was right back to the show until he fell asleep about halfway home.  So it was a fun day especially for Hi.
