Saturday JD and I took the kids up Whiskey Creek to find a Christmas tree. They were so excited and looking everywhere to find the perfect tree. We even got into some snow so they were even more excited for that. When we finally found our tree and let the kids out of the truck they were sliding on there bums down the hill and running around laughing and throwing snow.
It was about 23 degrees up on the mountain. It was so cold. Thank goodness we found it not to far off the road and JD brought the chain saw. So in a hurry we were done and back in the truck for some granola bars and hot chocolate.
On the way back, Madelyn thought that we were so far away from home that she would keep asking if we needed to stop at a motel to stay the night. We were only about a half hour away from home.
Looks like you guys had a fun time!! Now you need to show the finished project.
ReplyDeleteThat is a good looking tree. Sounds like your family had a fun time looking for one. I laughed when I read the part about Madelyn thinking you needed to stop to stay in a hotel.
